Many regions in South Korea have implemented measures to limit the use of smartphones in primary and secondary schools.
Recently, educational departments in various regions of South Korea have introduced measures aimed at further strengthening the control over students' use of smartphones within primary and secondary schools, with the goal of enhancing students' classroom concentration and curbing cyberbullying, among other issues. It is reported that the revised Elementary and Secondary Education Act in South Korea officially took effect in March of this year, explicitly prohibiting students from using smartphones in class. However, it does not specify how schools should manage the storage of these devices, nor does it address situations involving smartphone use outside the classroom. For several months, an increasing number of people have been calling for detailed regulations to be established.
