Question: How has the foreign exchange market operated since July? Since July, the external environment has been complex and changeable, with rising geopolitical uncertainties and persistent volatility in international financial markets. Our forex market has maintained stable operation, with cross-border income and expenditure steadily expanding, overall market expectations remaining stable, and forex trading being rational and orderly. In terms of the scale of cross-border transactions, in July, the net cross-border income and expenditure of non-banking sectors such as enterprises and individuals totaled $1.7 trillion, an increase of 20% year-on-year; the trading volume in the forex market was $4.3 trillion, growing by 8% year-on-year, both maintaining a high scale. In terms of cross-border capital flows, in July, the net inflow of capital from non-banking sectors such as enterprises and individuals was $59.8 billion. Among these, the net inflow of funds under goods trade remained high, while net outflows under service trade and dividend payments to foreign-funded enterprises remained stable. Regarding the supply and demand of the forex market, in July, banks had a surplus of $18.3 billion in forex settlement and sales. Enterprises conducted forex trading rationally based on actual needs and changes in market conditions, leading to a basic balance in the supply and demand of the forex market.
