Institute: The year-on-year decline in new home transactions has narrowed, while the resilience of second-hand housing at high levels is evident.
According to the Cr Ere Research Center, in July 2026, the real estate market will enter the traditional seasonal off-peak period, exhibiting the operational characteristics of "new home seasonal adjustment and stability in second-hand home resilience." In key cities, the supply and demand of new homes will both weaken month-on-month, with market activity significantly retreating from the surge seen at the end of June. Meanwhile, the second-hand housing market will maintain a high volume supported by demand for upgrades and the strategy of "exchanging price for volume," continuing to show year-on-year positive growth. It is expected that in August, the new home market's supply and sales will likely continue to weaken month-on-month; second-hand homes will remain high due to demand for upgrades, but may also experience a slight month-on-month decline.
