On the 14th, the reporter learned from the Ministry of Water Resources that the Information Center of the Ministry has upgraded and issued a yellow flood warning, reminding the public in relevant areas of provinces such as Jiangsu, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Anhui, Henan, Jiangxi, Fujian, and Guangdong to pay attention to preventing the impacts of the residual circulation and cold air from Typhoon "White Dolphin," as well as the monsoon trough. The reporter has learned that, affected by the residual circulation and cold air from Typhoon "White Dolphin" and the monsoon trough, heavy to torrential rain is expected in southern Jiangsu, Shanghai, eastern and southern Zhejiang, most of Jiangxi, southern and western Fujian, and central and eastern Guangdong from August 14 to 16; among these areas, local regions in southern Jiangsu, northeastern Zhejiang, and central Guangdong may experience extreme rain. In response to the flood situation, the Ministry of Water Resources advises continuous attention to water condition warning information, to minimize outdoor activities during heavy rain, and to avoid hazardous areas such as flooded roads, underground passages, and deep mountain gorges; when driving, proactively detour around flooded bridges and low-lying areas, and do not attempt to cross flooded sections; residents living in mountainous areas and along riverbanks should stay away from low-lying spaces and make advance preparations for evacuation and safety.
