The modern automobile union will resume salary negotiations on August 18.
On August 14, it was reported that Hyundai Motor and the union will resume wage negotiations on August 18 after a formal negotiation break of over 40 days. Following the management's proposal to resume negotiations, the union suspended a scheduled six-hour partial strike originally planned for August 18. Previously, both sides failed to narrow their differences during negotiations at the working level, resulting in a total of 44 hours of strikes by the union. The union's main demands include salary increases, higher bonuses, reinstatement of dismissed union members, and extension of the retirement age.
