Recently, Li Lecheng, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, visited Qinghai, Gansu, and Ningxia to investigate the salt lake industry and the green and low-carbon development of industry. In Geermu City, Qinghai, Li Lecheng visited Qinghai Salt Lake Magnesium, Potash Fertilizer, and Lithium Battery Company, examining the production of integrated magnesium, potash fertilizer, and lithium salt projects. He emphasized the need to thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important directive on accelerating the construction of a world-class salt lake industrial base, and to execute the decisions made by the Party Central Committee and the State Council. He stated that building a world-class salt lake industry base should be regarded as a significant task in promoting new industrialization and developing new quality productivity, which will provide a solid guarantee for maintaining national food and energy resource security and accelerating the construction of a modern industrial system. He urged for a scientific approach to planning the development strategy of the salt lake industry, strengthening policy support and resource guarantees, optimizing and strengthening enterprises, promoting resource integration and industrial synergy, overcoming key core technologies for salt lake resource development, and improving the efficiency and deep processing levels of resource utilization for potash, lithium, magnesium, and other resources. The goal is to create a distinctive advantage industrial chain, building an advanced, well-supported, green, intelligent, and high-efficiency industrial system, thereby comprehensively enhancing the international competitiveness of the industry and promoting the high-quality development of the salt lake industry to new heights. Li Lecheng also visited the Qinghai Clean Energy and Green Computing Power Dispatch Center, related enterprises in comprehensive resource utilization in Gansu, the Ningdong Energy and Chemical Base in Ningxia, and the Liupan Mountain Laboratory to observe the coordination of computing power and electricity as well as the development of the green computing power industry. He looked into the recycling and reuse industry of used power batteries for new energy vehicles, and gained detailed insights into the Ningdong 2 million-kilowatt composite photovoltaic project, the construction of the Ningdong coal chemical base, and the capability development of pilot verification platforms in the field of instruments and meters. He emphasized the importance of leveraging the strategy of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, adhering to the directions of intelligence, greening, and integration, and systematically promoting industrial greening and green industrialization, while nurturing and expanding green productivity with pragmatic measures.
