The list of winners for the 2026 Future Science Prize has been announced: Zhang Hong, Zhao Dongyuan, and Yuan Xinyi have won.

The Future Science Prize Review Committee announced the list of award winners for 2026 on August 13. Zhang Hong received the "Life Science Prize" for his groundbreaking contributions to revealing the unique autophagic mechanisms and physiological functions of multicellular organisms; Zhao Dongyuan received the "Material Science Prize" for his pioneering contributions to mesoporous materials, including synthetic control, mechanistic understanding, and industrial applications; Yuan Xinyi received the "Mathematics and Computer Science Prize" for his foundational contributions in arithmetic geometry, especially for establishing the theory of arithmetic big fields in Arakelov geometry and its groundbreaking applications to the uniform Bogomolov conjecture and the uniform Mordell conjecture.
