August 12: The "Wholesale Price Index of Agricultural Products" rose by 0.16 points compared to yesterday.

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the "Wholesale Price Index for Agricultural Products" on August 12 was 114.43, an increase of 0.16 points from yesterday. The wholesale price index for "basket products" was 114.75, rising by 0.20 points from yesterday. As of 14:00 today, the average wholesale price of pork in national agricultural product markets was 15.85 yuan/kg, up 0.8% from yesterday; beef was 67.42 yuan/kg, unchanged from yesterday; lamb was 65.08 yuan/kg, up 0.5% from yesterday; eggs were 10.00 yuan/kg, up 0.6% from yesterday; and whole chickens were 17.25 yuan/kg, up 0.4% from yesterday. The average price of 28 key monitored vegetables was 4.50 yuan/kg, up 0.4% from yesterday; the average price of 6 key monitored fruits was 6.91 yuan/kg, up 0.9% from yesterday. The price of crucian carp was 20.31 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from yesterday; carp was 14.45 yuan/kg, up 0.8% from yesterday; white catfish was 10.50 yuan/kg, up 0.5% from yesterday; and big hairtail was 41.13 yuan/kg, down 1.1% from yesterday. Today, among the 46 varieties of fresh agricultural products monitored in domestic wholesale markets, the top five price increases compared to yesterday were for pineapple, Ju Feng grapes, rapeseed, spinach, and pleurotus ostreatus, with increases of 4.6%, 2.6%, 2.3%, 2.3%, and 2.2%, respectively. The top five price decreases were for watermelon, goldstripe sardine, banana, green onion, and big hairtail, with decreases of 4.7%, 2.4%, 2.1%, 1.9%, and 1.1%, respectively.
