Samsung has introduced the Claude model in semiconductor research and development, shortening the design verification process from one month to two days.

On August 12, it was reported that Samsung Electronics has confirmed the introduction of Anthropic's large language model, Claude, significantly shortening the cycle for certain semiconductor design and verification processes. About three months after the AI programming tool Claude Code was prioritized for software developers, it was reported that the development frontline has shown notable efficiency improvements. In the validation work for custom SoCs, a task originally expected to take more than a month was completed in just two days. Internal assessments indicate that the work efficiency has improved by approximately 15 times.
