S&P: Assigns a long-term issuer rating of A- to China Overseas Development (00688.HK) for its proposed bond issuance.

On August 11, S&P assigned a long-term issue rating of "A-" to the proposed issuance of senior unsecured notes by China Overseas Land & Investment Limited (referred to as "China Overseas Development," 00688.HK). These notes will be issued under its $4 billion medium-term note program. The medium-term note program will be issued by China Overseas Development's wholly-owned subsidiary, China Overseas Finance (Cayman) VIII Ltd., and will be unconditionally and irrevocably guaranteed by China Overseas Development.
