As of 10:00 AM on August 9, the "White Dolphin" center is located about 215 kilometers east of Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, over the southern waters of the East China Sea, with a strength classified as a strong typhoon. Meteorological departments predict that the "White Dolphin" will move to the west at a speed of 20 to 25 kilometers per hour, with little change in intensity. It is expected to make landfall between Zhoushan, Zhejiang, and Fuding, Fujian, from the evening of August 9 to the early morning of August 10, at a strength of either strong typhoon or typhoon level. After making landfall, it will move in a northwest direction, gradually weakening but still having a significant impact on the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. Lei Lei, the chief forecaster at the Beijing Meteorological Observatory, stated that, based on the latest data, the region will experience heavy rainfall from the night of August 11 to August 15 due to this influence, with a long duration and substantial cumulative rainfall. It is anticipated that from the night of August 11 to August 15, Beijing will experience torrential rain, with some mountainous and southern areas facing extremely heavy rain. Rainfall will start to intensify on the night of August 11, with thunderstorms expected in Beijing from the night of August 11 to the night of August 12, and some areas will experience heavy downpours.
