The National Oceanic Forecasting Center has issued an orange alert for waves and a yellow alert for storm surges.

The reporter learned from the Ministry of Natural Resources that the National Marine Forecasting Center issued an orange alert for waves and a yellow alert for storm surges this afternoon. Due to the impact of this year's No. 13 typhoon "White Dolphin," it is expected that from the afternoon of August 7 to noon on August 8: the orange alert for waves in the East China Sea will see huge waves ranging from 7 to 13 meters in the turbulent area, with the nearshore waters under an orange warning level; the nearshore waters off Zhejiang will experience waves ranging from 3 to 5 meters, classified as big to giant waves, with an orange warning level; the nearshore waters off northern Fujian and Shanghai will see waves ranging from 2.5 to 3.5 meters, classified as big waves, with a yellow warning level; the nearshore waters of southern Jiangsu will experience waves ranging from 2 to 3 meters, classified as moderate to big waves, with a blue warning level. Ships operating in the aforementioned waters are urged to prioritize safety, and relevant coastal units are advised to implement wave protection measures in advance.
