Guotai Junan International (01788.HK) received a privatization offer from Guotai Haitong (02611.HK) at a premium of approximately 44.2%. Trading will resume on August 10.

Zhitong Finance APP news, Guotai Junan International (01788.HK) and the offeror Guotai Haitong Financial Holdings Co., Ltd. jointly announced that on July 22, 2026, the offeror has requested the board of directors (subject to the fulfillment of the preconditions) to present a proposal to the planned shareholders, which, if approved and implemented, will result in the company being privatized through a scheme arrangement pursuant to Section 673 of the Companies Ordinance, and the removal of its listing status on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
