Malaysia has launched an anti-dumping investigation into galvanized steel flat-rolled products made from alloys and non-alloys involving China.

On August 6, the Malaysian Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry announced that it would initiate an anti-dumping investigation into galvanized steel, other alloy and non-alloy flat rolled products originating from or imported from mainland China, Taiwan, and Vietnam, in response to an application submitted by domestic producer NS Bluescope Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. The period for this anti-dumping investigation is from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025, and the period for the damage investigation is from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2025. The preliminary ruling for this case will be made within 120 days from the initiation date.
