The primary market for convertible bonds is heating up, with a total of 51 issues this year, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 104%.
The primary market for convertible bonds is warming up. As of August 6, there have been a total of 51 convertible bonds issued this year, with a cumulative scale of 60.7 billion yuan, representing increases of 104% and 51%, respectively, compared to the same period last year. Coinciding with the recovery in issuance is the accelerated exit of existing convertible bonds. Data shows that 123 convertible bonds have left the market this year, resulting in a decrease of 56 billion yuan in the market's outstanding scale compared to the beginning of the year. Industry insiders believe that the optimization of refinancing policies has opened up channels for convertible bond issuance, while increased capital expenditure from tech companies and strong institutional demand provide support for both the supply and demand of new bonds. As a result, the convertible bond market has entered a new phase of accelerated issuance and structural adjustment.
