Merck (MRK.US) has submitted an application for the market launch of its oral HIV treatment drug in China.

According to the latest information from the Zhitong Finance APP, on August 5, the official website of the Center for Drug Evaluation (CDE) of the National Medical Products Administration of China announced that Merck (MRK.US) has submitted a marketing application for doravirine/islatravir (DOR/ISL), which has been accepted. According to the CDE website, this product has previously been included in the priority review category, with the intended indication: as a complete two-drug treatment regimen for adults with HIV-1 infection, suitable for patients who are currently receiving a stable antiretroviral therapy regimen leading to virological suppression (HIV-1 RNA < 50 copies/ml), have no history of antiretroviral treatment failure, and have no known mutations related to resistance to doravirine, as a replacement for their current antiretroviral therapy regimen.
