O-Film Holdings occupies the advanced packaging track with glass substrate from Zhongke Island Crystal.

According to reports from OFILM, the company recently acquired 51% equity of Hefei Zhongke Island Crystal Technology Co., Ltd. through a combination of acquiring old shares + capital increase, becoming the controlling shareholder of Zhongke Island Crystal. OFILM stated that this is another key move in the optical communication sector following the establishment of a machine vision company in June, the founding of OFILM Optical Micro-Nano Devices Company in July, and investment in Chip Light Union. Zhongke Island Crystal was established in 2023, relying on the research foundation of the Intelligent Micro-System Laboratory at the Institute of Intelligent Machinery of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The core team consists of postdoctoral researchers and senior researchers from the Academy, who have been deeply involved in the glass-based advanced packaging field for nearly a decade, accumulating full-chain technology and industrialization experience from core process development and process optimization to landing mass production.
