Ministry of Water Resources: Maintain Level IV emergency response for flood defense in Shaanxi and Heilongjiang.

On the 6th, a reporter learned from the Ministry of Water Resources that it has maintained a Level IV emergency response for flood defense in Shaanxi and Heilongjiang; five working groups from the Ministry of Water Resources are actively assisting and guiding flood defense efforts on the front lines in Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia, Hainan, and other regions. The reporter learned that from 8 a.m. on August 5 to 8 a.m. on August 6, due to rainfall, 15 rivers, including the upstream tributaries of the Han River in Shaanxi such as the Qianhe River, Danjiang, and its tributary Majie River, the Blue Bridge River, a tributary of the Wei River, the Qinghe River, a tributary of the Beiluo River, and the Nan'a River, a tributary of the Lancang River in Yunnan, experienced floods exceeding warning levels, among which three rivers in Shaanxi, including the Qianhe River and its tributaries Jinjin River and Shechuan River, saw flow rates exceed safety thresholds. Most of them have now receded below warning levels. Based on the 24-hour rainfall forecast, the Ministry of Water Resources issued targeted warnings in the form of "one province, one list" for nine provinces including Jilin, Heilongjiang, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Shaanxi, and Xinjiang, providing a list of counties covered by heavy rainfall, reservoir lists, areas and points at risk of mountain floods, and reminding them to ensure the safety of reservoirs and silted embankments, as well as to prepare for the defense against floods in small and medium rivers and mountain flood disasters.
