Since August, the Songhua River and Heilong River have respectively experienced numbered floods. Various regions in Heilongjiang Province are closely monitoring water conditions and conducting scientific scheduling to ensure the smooth passage of flood peaks. The water resources department of Heilongjiang Province is using multiple monitoring methods to continuously track and forecast water conditions. Through the Heilongjiang Provincial Water and Drought Disaster Prevention Decision Support Platform, early warning information has been issued to 14,500 flood prevention responsibility personnel, facilitating timely evacuation of residents. Currently, several rivers in Heilongjiang Province are still above the warning water level. The Heilongjiang Provincial Water Resources Department has initiated a Level Four emergency response for water and drought disaster prevention, continuously releasing water condition forecasts and flood situation reports while closely monitoring the progression of river floods.
