From 2001 to 2014, Dong Wei abused his position to help multiple enterprises and individuals with planning approval, reduce the frequency of law enforcement inspections, and settle project payments, illegally accepting property. Dong Wei also had other serious disciplinary and legal violations. In February 2026, Dong Wei was expelled from the Party and, in accordance with regulations, had his benefits revoked. His criminal conduct was transferred to judicial authorities for legal review and prosecution.
