Culminating across 11 cities and benefiting over 6,000 practitioners! The training program for enhancing the inspection and testing capacity in the food industry concludes.

On July 31, the Quality Improvement and Silk Road Mutual Trust training program for enhancing inspection and testing capabilities in the food industry, jointly guided by the State Administration for Market Regulation and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, concluded in Beijing. This training program aims to deeply implement the Belt and Road Initiative and promote international cooperation in food safety governance. It is a core initiative for both parties to enhance the capabilities of China's food inspection and testing institutions and to deepen trade trust and cooperation among Belt and Road Initiative countries. The curriculum closely aligns with cutting-edge policies and practical technologies, covering key topics such as the interpretation of the Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade and the Agreement on the Application of Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures under the World Trade Organization framework, training on ISO conformity assessment standards, food inspection and testing regulatory policies and compliance strategies, laboratory accreditation, and digital transformation. Since June 2025, the training has taken place across 11 cities including Beijing, Chongqing, Xi'an, Nanning, Shenyang, Chengdu, Xishuangbanna, Guangzhou, Qingdao, Haikou, and Kunming, reaching nearly 1,300 participants in the food inspection and testing sector through offline training and over 5,000 trainees through online courses.
