The largest single plant production base for polyvinyl alcohol in China has been completed.

This morning, the special polyvinyl alcohol production facility at Sinopec Chongqing Chuanwei Chemical, with an annual output of 50,000 tons, officially commenced material feeding and operation. After the project goes into production, it will become the largest high-end polyvinyl alcohol production base in the world in terms of single-plant scale, with a total annual capacity of 210,000 tons. Polyvinyl alcohol is referred to as the "universal auxiliary material" in fine chemical processing and is an indispensable core raw material for emerging industries such as new energy, optoelectronic displays, high-end packaging, and precision manufacturing. The project's implementation will effectively enhance the raw material supply capacity of the industrial chain.
