To promote cost reduction and quality improvement in transportation logistics, the Zhejiang provincial government has issued important opinions.
In order to further optimize the structure of transportation and logistics, and to reduce costs and improve quality and efficiency in transportation logistics, the Zhejiang Provincial Government recently issued the "Implementation Opinions on Promoting High-Quality Development of Multimodal Transport." Among the proposals, by 2030, a multimodal transport development pattern of "one core, four hubs, seven axes, and three corridors" will be established, with nearly 10 million TEUs of container multimodal transport in the province. The proportion of container multimodal transport at coastal ports will be raised to 14.5%, essentially forming a high-quality development system for multimodal transport that is strong in scale, network support, transport organization, service guarantee, and development quality and efficiency, with the total social logistics costs in the province accounting for about 12.5% of GDP. By 2035, a "transportation hub" will be fully built, with the level of sea-rail intermodal transport leading the nation, the capacity for river-sea intermodal transport being advanced nationwide, and air-land and road-rail intermodal transport realizing distinctive development, establishing Zhejiang as a national model for high-quality development in multimodal transport.
