In light of the increasing risks of wildfires and forest fires, the government of North Macedonia has announced a national state of emergency for a period of 30 days starting from August 1. The North Macedonian government stated that this measure aims to respond to the on-site situation in a timely and efficient manner, and to maximize the mobilization of all available institutional resources to protect the lives, property, and natural resources of citizens. The headquarters under the crisis management center will maintain normal operations, and all national administrative bodies will fully open their resources to ensure a timely and effective response to emergencies.
