Among the 11 sectors of the S&P 500 Index, the consumer discretionary sector rose by 6.07%, the telecommunications sector increased by 4.6%, and the industrial sector ranked third with a gain of 0.79%. The information technology/tech sector fell by 0.54%, the real estate sector declined by 0.68%, the utilities sector dropped by 0.74%, and the materials sector decreased by 2.71%.

On Friday, the performance of U.S. sector ETFs varied. The Consumer Discretionary ETF rose by 3.29%, the Internet Index ETF increased by 2.59%, the Energy ETF gained 1%, and the Semiconductor ETF went up by 0.3%.
