Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs: Hopes that all parties can work together to stabilize the upward trend of pork prices and avoid sharp fluctuations.
On July 24, Chen Bangxun, director of the Development Planning Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, stated at a press conference of the State Council Information Office that since the end of June, the supply and demand situation in the pig market has gradually improved, prices have rebounded, and losses in pig farming have been alleviated to some extent. However, the current supply of live pigs in the market is still generally sufficient, and the pattern of strong supply and weak demand has not fundamentally changed. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs will continue to focus on comprehensive control of pig production capacity, issue warnings through multiple channels, guide supply and demand to be more compatible, and hope that pig farms will closely monitor changes in supply and demand, arrange production reasonably, and work together to stabilize the upward trend in pig prices and avoid large fluctuations.
