European Central Bank (ECB) Committee member Martin Kocher stated that the ECB will carefully evaluate all information during the summer to determine whether to raise interest rates or maintain them at the next meeting. "We are currently in a position where we can observe data to be released in the coming weeks, including Purchasing Managers' Index data, inflation data, and other indicators, and assess whether these data support a rate hike in September or staying put," he said in an interview with Bloomberg TV on Friday. The Austrian central bank governor noted that after the ECB raised rates in June, policymakers are now "in a position to analyze the situation and remain vigilant in the coming weeks."
