The Hong Kong Observatory will issue a No. 1 typhoon signal.
According to the Hong Kong Observatory, the tropical cyclone "Red Cloud" will enter the 800-kilometer range of Hong Kong around dusk today, and the Observatory will issue a number one standby signal at 20:40. The Observatory reminds that Hong Kong will still be very hot during the day tomorrow, but there will be surging waves in the sea. Residents are advised to stay away from the shore and stop all water activities. As "Red Cloud" strengthens and approaches the eastern coast of Guangdong, local winds will gradually increase tomorrow. With more strong winds and heavy rain, the Hong Kong Observatory will consider issuing a higher tropical cyclone warning signal tomorrow afternoon, taking into account the intensity changes of "Red Cloud", its distance from Hong Kong, and the local wind conditions.
