The National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration have issued the "15th Five-Year Plan for Renewable Energy Development", which mentions that the focus will be on promoting the construction of wind and solar power bases in the "San Gobi Desert" area, and scientifically advancing the pilot projects of using solar power to control desertification and exporting 100% green electricity. During the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, the installed capacity of wind and solar power bases in the "San Gobi Desert" area will increase by more than 3.7 billion kilowatts.
