The number of intellectual property rights holders registered with customs is close to 60,000.

The State Council Information Office held a series of press conferences with the theme of "Starting the '14th Five-Year Plan'", during which the relevant person in charge of the General Administration of Customs introduced the progress in accelerating the modernization of customs and building a strong trading nation, and answered questions from reporters. It was revealed at the meeting that in accordance with China's commitments upon accession to the WTO, Chinese Customs is fulfilling the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights, protecting intellectual property rights in import and export processes to prevent counterfeit goods from entering or leaving the country and entering the market, allowing innovators to receive benefits and safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese and foreign enterprises as well as consumers. Currently, nearly 60,000 intellectual property rights holders have been recorded by Customs, involving 134,000 intellectual property rights of various types, with the effectiveness of intellectual property border protection increasingly evident.
