Due to a 5.0 magnitude earthquake in Mojiang County, Puer City, Yunnan, some trains on the China-Laos Railway are delayed.

According to the China Earthquake Network, a 5.0 magnitude earthquake occurred in Mojiang County, Pu'er City, Yunnan Province at 19:43 on July 21, 2026. In order to ensure the safe operation of passenger trains, China Railway Kunming Group Co., Ltd. immediately initiated an emergency response, implemented a blockade on the Yunnan-Pu'er section of the China-Laos Railway, urgently stopped trains operating in that section, and arranged for the maintenance, signal, and power supply departments to go online and conduct a comprehensive inspection of the track equipment.
