Douyin life services: Passive camera protection function for live rooms launched to safeguard consumers' portrait privacy.
Recently, Douyin's life service launched the "automatic blurring of the privacy of consumers who are passively caught on camera during live broadcasts" feature. This feature can automatically blur the faces of individuals caught on camera in the background during live broadcasts by businesses, aiming to protect consumers' image rights, privacy rights, and other legal rights. The platform recommends that businesses promptly enable this feature. It is explained that once this feature is enabled, the platform will blur the faces of individuals who have not been reported. If businesses engage in activities such as illegal filming or disturbing consumers, the platform will take action according to relevant rules, including but not limited to warnings, interrupting live broadcasts, and banning live broadcasts.
