China Unicom will invest over 25 billion yuan in Shanghai.

The 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference and High-Level Meeting on Global Governance of Artificial Intelligence concluded on July 20th. On that day, the "UniAIIntelligent Connection Shanghai" project was launched, with China Unicom planning to invest over 25 billion yuan in Shanghai to enhance smart computing infrastructure and promote the deep integration of artificial intelligence with industrial upgrading, public services, urban governance, and digital ecology.
