In the first half of 2026, Sichuan's GDP reached 3.36 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.8% year-on-year.

On July 16, the Sichuan Provincial Bureau of Statistics announced on its official WeChat account that the region's gross domestic product (GDP) for the first half of 2026 was 3.3629 trillion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 4.8% at constant prices. In terms of sectors, the value added of the primary industry increased by 195.346 billion yuan, up 3.6% year-on-year; the value added of the secondary industry reached 1.1641 trillion yuan, a growth of 4.9%; and the value added of the tertiary industry was 2.003492 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.8%. In terms of specific products, the production of lithium-ion batteries grew by 62.7%, smart TVs by 52.2%, integrated circuits by 18.6%, and industrial robots by 15.7%.
