National Bureau of Statistics: Consumer prices for residents will continue to rise moderately
Wang Guanhua, spokesperson of the National Bureau of Statistics and head of the Department of Comprehensive National Economic Statistics, stated at a press conference on July 15 that looking ahead to the second half of the year, although the fluctuation of international commodity prices may bring some disturbances to domestic prices, the Chinese economy has strong resilience, with sufficient supply of consumer goods and effective policies in place to ensure stable prices. With the continuous implementation of various consumer promotion policies, service consumption, upgraded consumption, and new types of consumer demand are expected to steadily increase, and household consumption prices are expected to continue to rise moderately.
