However, Hyundai Securities in South Korea stated on the 15th that if there is a premium on ADR, it could actually enhance the willingness of foreign investors to buy common stocks. Kim Jae-seung, an analyst at Hyundai Securities, stated: "There are concerns in the market that after the listing of ADR, the convenience of investing in the US market could lead foreign investors to sell common stocks to avoid the volatility of the Korean domestic stock market and the risk of the Korean won against the US dollar and switch to ADR." However, he added, "However, a higher ADR premium could actually increase the attractiveness of common stocks to foreign investors."
