According to a report from South Korean media, industry insiders revealed on Monday that Samsung Electronics has started preparing for the production of Tesla's next generation artificial intelligence (AI) chip, AI5. Prior to this, a Samsung executive posted on LinkedIn that Tesla's AI5 chip had completed the "tape-out" process, which means that the final design work of the chip before mass production has been completed. AI5 is a chip developed independently by Tesla, aimed at providing computational support for its "Full Self-Driving" (FSD) system, Optimus humanoid robot, and AI data centers.
