According to China Railway Group, in the first half of this year, the national railway sent a total of 2.348 billion passengers, a year-on-year increase of 5.0%, reaching a new high in its history. In the first half of the year, the railway passenger transportation capacity supply was precise and efficient, successfully completing the transportation organization for the Spring Festival, Qingming Festival, May Day, and Dragon Boat Festival holidays, meeting the travel needs of passengers during the holidays. Several passenger transportation indicators reached new highs. On May 1st, the national railway sent 24.844 million passengers, setting a new record for daily passenger volume; the China-Laos Railway sent 188,000 cross-border passengers, an increase of 25.9% year-on-year, and the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-speed Railway sent 16.962 million cross-border passengers, an increase of 13.8% year-on-year.
