Hainan initiates level III emergency response to red tide disaster
In view of the new economic losses caused by red tide disasters, the complex trends of disasters, and the need for disaster prevention, reduction, and relief, the Office of the Special Work on Emergency Response to Marine Disasters in Hainan Province has decided to launch a Level III emergency response to red tide disasters at 11:00 on July 12, 2026, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Emergency Plan for Red Tide Disasters of the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Emergency Plan for Marine Disasters of Hainan Province. Coastal cities and counties and relevant departments directly under the provincial government are requested to strictly implement various red tide emergency response and disaster prevention and reduction measures in accordance with the Level III response action.
