The country's largest "linear Fresnel" solar-thermal integrated energy demonstration project has shifted to commercial trial operation.
According to China Three Gorges Energy, on July 7, the country's largest "linear Fresnel" concentrated solar thermal energy demonstration project - the Three Gorges Group's 1 million kilowatt "solar thermal + photovoltaic" project in Hami successfully entered the commercial trial operation stage. The project is located in the Gobi Desert area of Hami, Xinjiang, consisting of a 100,000 kilowatt molten salt solar thermal energy storage power station and a 900,000 kilowatt photovoltaic power station. The solar thermal project is equipped with 260,000 high-precision tracking mirrors, with a total collection area of 800,000 square meters, and a matching 8-hour high-temperature molten salt storage system, providing stable storage and power generation capabilities.
