The Democratic Republic of Congo reports 600 cases of Ebola deaths.
The latest epidemic report released by the Ministry of Health of the Democratic Republic of Congo on July 8 local time shows that a total of 1759 confirmed cases have been reported in the country's current Ebola epidemic, with 600 deaths. The report says that up to now, the epidemic mainly affects three provinces: Ituri Province, North Kivu Province, and South Kivu Province. There have been 285 cumulative cured cases, and currently 750 patients are in isolation or hospitalized for treatment. The report states that the number of beds in related medical institutions in the three provinces is approaching saturation. In particular, the healthcare facilities in North Kivu Province are under significant pressure, with bed occupancy rates exceeding 100%.
