The central government account balance in Ireland was a surplus of 700 million euros as of the end of June, compared to a surplus of 4.5 billion euros in the same period last year. The Irish Ministry of Finance stated that the decrease in the central government account surplus was mainly due to the impact of Apple's tax back payment.
