French economist: There is a divergence in policy between the Federal Reserve and the European Central Bank.
Two French chief economists stated that due to inflationary pressure in the United States, the Federal Reserve still needs to raise interest rates this year. However, the European Central Bank is not in a hurry to tighten monetary policy, and may have already completed tightening as the inflation rate in the Eurozone is below expectations, at only 2.8%.
