Samsung will invest about 60 trillion Korean won in the Gyeongsang region of South Korea to establish a production center for humanoid robots, solid-state batteries, artificial intelligence server packaging substrates, and high value-added ships. The plan aims to integrate artificial intelligence transformation and robot technology with the existing manufacturing industry, making the Gyeongsang region a leading global cluster for physical artificial intelligence innovation. Samsung Electronics President and Head of DX, Lu Taiwen, attended a national briefing on the vision for advanced industries in the Gyeongsang region, held at Gyeongsang National University in Jinju City, Gyeongsangnam-do on the 3rd, stating, "We will create 200,000 high-quality jobs in the Gyeongsang region through concentrated investment in humanoid robots, artificial intelligence data centers and advanced manufacturing." After Lu Taiwen's speech, Samsung issued a press release detailing the group's investment plan centered around Gwangju, Ulsan, Busan, and Geoje.
