Hasset: Some Federal Reserve officials may have voted on policies with the aim of targeting Trump.

Kevin Hassett, Director of the National Economic Council of the United States, said on Fox Business Network, "I am worried that as long as Powell remains at the Fed, most officials may not necessarily vote out of love for the country or national interest, but rather to target Trump." He said, "We must closely monitor this situation." Hassett said, "It is certain that if problems arise, it will not be Kevin Warsh's responsibility. He needs to coordinate various opinions within the Fed, which is an extremely difficult task." Hassett said that raising interest rates now would be a "macroeconomic policy mistake." He said, "We believe that the Fed will make decisions based on economic data."
