The latest research from Omdia shows that in the first quarter of 2026, the shipment volume of PCs in the United States decreased by 7.0% year-on-year, dropping to 15.8 million units, marking the largest year-on-year decline since the third quarter of 2023. This market decline was primarily impacted by multiple factors, including supply constraints and cost pressures caused by the sharp increase in PC memory and storage prices, as well as the early release of demand after the end of the Windows 11 upgrade cycle, leading to a significant decline in short-term commercial market demand. In addition, the base effect further amplified the year-on-year decline.
