On June 30th, the "Endless Green Future" 2026 Modern Energy Economic Thought Forum was held in Hohhot. Gao Yongbin, the Deputy Mayor of Ulanqab City, revealed at the meeting that the city has achieved six breakthroughs in the national electricity cooperation field, and the scale of the computing industry and the capacity of green electricity consumption have increased simultaneously. In terms of computing power scale, by the first half of 2026, Ulanqab had signed contracts for 89 data center projects, with a computing power operating scale of 165,000 P, and the proportion of intelligent computing power exceeded 90%, accounting for 8.7% of the national total, absorbing 65,000 P of overflow computing power from Beijing. WanGuo Data has signed a 5-year, over 30 billion yuan computing power investment plan. The Zhongjin Base has also established the first integrated computing power and energy control platform in the country, achieving autonomous matching of computing power load with fluctuations in new energy generation.
