Chinese Customs and Moroccan Customs Sign AEO Mutual Recognition Arrangement
On June 26th, China Customs and Moroccan Customs signed a mutual recognition arrangement for "Authorized Economic Operators". Qi Ming, Deputy Director of the Department of Enterprise Management and Inspection of the General Administration of Customs, stated that the signing of the mutual recognition arrangement marks a crucial step for China and Morocco in the field of trade facilitation. The newly revised "Measures for the Administration of Enterprise Credit Registration and Filing by the Customs of the People's Republic of China" added the credit level of certified enterprises, and explicitly stated that both advanced certified enterprises and certified enterprises are AEO enterprises of China Customs. This mutual recognition between China and Morocco is the first time that China Customs has conducted cooperation based on the new classification of enterprises, allowing more enterprises, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, to enjoy the customs facilitation provided by Moroccan Customs, which is conducive to further developing bilateral trade.
