BYD's self-developed intelligent driving chip is expected to be first installed in mass-produced vehicles in 2027.
It is reported that BYD is planning to launch its self-developed intelligent driving chip Xuanji A3 on the mass-produced new car of its Tang brand next year. As of the time of publication, BYD has not responded to inquiries. An employee of a self-developed chip intelligent driving solution provider said that it usually takes at least one year from chip design to implementation in the car, as the chip itself, algorithm deployment, and vehicle integration all need to be verified one by one, making it difficult to accelerate the realization of the chip. Official information shows that this 4nm chip has a single chip computing power of over 700 TOPS, with the total computing power of three chips exceeding 2100 TOPS, supporting Level 3 and Level 4 automated driving, and has already begun mass production.
