Google has lost two more heavyweight AI core researchers to Anthropic, causing its stock prices to fall.
Two top Google artificial intelligence researchers, Jonas Adler and Alexander Pricer, plan to resign and join competing company Anthropic. This talent drain is a continuation of Google's recent departures of several core technical staff, which may weaken Google's industry position in the field of artificial intelligence; earlier, Nobel Prize winner in Chemistry John J. Kammer, and star researcher Norm Shamzell also respectively joined Anthropic and OpenAI. This series of personnel changes highlights the competitive pressure facing Google: Anthropic and OpenAI, two startups, are about to launch IPOs, and employees who join before the listing can receive a rare high equity return, which is highly attractive to senior research and development personnel from top tech companies. Google's stock price quickly dropped by 0.6%.
